In Epic Flail, you must hack and slash your way through a plethora of baddies who are just dying to kill you. Luckily, you can defy gravity, with short directional dashes in the air, making for a really interesting way to fight.
There is plenty of blood, and as those things go, the gameplay is pretty challenging. Brought to us by SpaceNoize.
Operating as one without sight, The Blind Swordsman is a fascinating experiment in gameplay, stripping the player of all visuals. With only your ears to rely on, you must take on dangerous opponents, each wielding weapons and possessing particular challenges in combat. Furthermore, besides turning toward the sound of your opponent, you may either parry or attack.
At times The Blind Swordsman was extremely difficult. Every step, parry, or thrust is subtle, every decision nuanced. Each opponent is refreshingly more challenging than the last. However, I found myself hooked to the game, unable to leave it alone until every last one of these opponents had been vanquished.
